A quirky revival giving hope to the Lower Clapton community
The establishment, having undergone numerous owners and name changes over the decades, has now been aptly renamed 'The Wing and a Prayer' by passionate publican Ben - a hopeful nod to making this venture a success!
The team has gone all out, managing a remarkably quick refurbishment - just a couple of days between receiving the keys and opening up! The result is far from disappointing. Expect a uniquely quirky atmosphere, complete with an array of eccentric yet fun features, from hand-drawn doodles of boobs by patrons and Polaroid pictures to iridescent decor and a projector always screening something weird and wacky.
The pub now attracts locals and members of the queer community from all over London, who come for events like poetry gigs or simply to enjoy the friendly and welcoming atmosphere created by the amicable staff.

Fluffy pancakes and savoury charcuterie in a pub?!
Just like many other quality boozers, you’ll find mouthwatering options here. However, what sets this place apart is its truly unique menu, featuring delights like the famous charcuterie and fluffy pancakes. These specialties have quickly become local favourites, offering a fresh twist on pub dining. How unique and tempting is that?
