A little bit of Ireland in the heart of Kilburn

A longstanding feature of Kilburn High Road, the Sir Colin Campbell dates back to 1898, and underwent an Irish makeover since the new owners took over in 2023. The result is a warm, cosy local with a central bar creating two intimate spaces, wooden floors, furniture and dimpled leaded-glass windows. There’s even a tiny beer garden for those rare sunny London days. Step in and be greeted by jovial Gav, the pub’s manager who grew up in Kilburn before spending 30 years away, then returned to his roots with a mission to bring a little bit of Irish hospitality back to the area.
The pub attracts everyone from local residents and members of the Irish community to students from the nearby music college and theatre-goers popping in for a drink. Add live traditional Irish music every Saturday and Sunday, their house band and a famously good pint of Guinness, and the Irish credentials are pretty hard to argue with. And when hunger strikes, stone-baked pizzas start at just £11, keeping the food affordable too.

A celebrity spot without the celebrity pricing

The Sir Colin Campbell has welcomed its fair share of famous faces, whether they’re here for a pint, the music on the weekends or the Wednesday night quiz. Names remain under wraps, but some celebrities have kindly signed beer mats which are proudly pinned behind the bar. Ask nicely and you might find out who’s been propping up the bar!
