Drinking in a stable in Streatham? Deal!
Built in the 1800s, the Streatham building once hosted wine and spirit merchants at the front and a pub at the back. Over time, it was transformed into a hotel and eventually returned to being fully a pub, as it should! Since the current owners took over in 2012, the Railway has grown into a warm and community-focused space. Guests can now enjoy freshly prepared meals, with a menu centred on contemporary British classics made from locally sourced and seasonally selected ingredients, an absolute delight! The walled garden is a favourite spot, especially during fine weather, offering a peaceful escape with plenty of character, and it also holds a link to the past, as the old stable hutch from the former hotel stables remains there as a charming feature. Fancy! When the skies turn grey, large umbrellas and a sheltered area provide cover, allowing guests to continue enjoying the outdoors.

Cask ales on rotation, excitement on tap
Local cask ales rotate constantly at the Railway, ensuring every visit brings something fresh and exciting. Twice honoured as South-West London CAMRA Pub of the Year, this pub is the only one in SW16 featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide for 13 consecutive years! Are you a cask ale enthusiast? This place is heaven for you!
