A beautiful Islington pub for every walk of life

Once home to a bar called the Four Sister, this Islington building stood closed for a long time before being brought back to life as the Pocket. It had been shut for so long that some pigeons had settled in, making it their own - oblivious to how much of a gem the place would become under new owner Pete. With a talent for creating pubs that are both beautiful and genuinely welcoming, Pete has worked his magic once again and the Pocket is no exception. The result is simply stunning: dark floor, stylish hanging lamps that cast a warm glow, elegant tiles, and a cosy snug… you'll never want to leave! But don’t be fooled by the classy décor - created with wood panelling, a waxed bar, and sleek finishes - this pub is designed to welcome all walks of life, offering a wide range of drinks, including cask ales from just £4.50!

Not a pocket-sized list of craft beers and ciders

At the Pocket, quality beverages are key. It’s no wonder the owner also runs a brewery, Holling Hops. But fear not! The selection on tap won’t be limited to these beers. Whether you’re a beer lover or a cider enthusiast, you’ll be treated to a daily-changing selection. From dark mild to strong stouts and low-strength pale ales, this gem has something to delight every palate. Most importantly, the team makes it a point of honour to pay tribute to small independent breweries and producers. What’s not to like?
