A pub for dog lovers and food enthusiast

Built in 1851 as the ‘Two Brewers,’ the establishment took its current name after 1944 and became a beloved local haunt. You might think this successful venue is run by publicans who know what they’re doing, but the real boss is actually… Derek, a friendly Labrador Retriever who is omnipresent throughout the pub, in both flesh and paint (be sure to admire the many paintings of this adored four-legged companion that adorn the walls next to the bar!). You’ll find this pooch either welcoming newcomers or simply sleeping, cradled by the locals who come to enjoy a drink after work, play darts to unwind, enjoy a family dinner by the fireplace in winter, or hang out in the enchanting beer garden in summer. Not only is this pub free of tie, but it also serves delightful meals - including their renowned Sunday roast (we advise you to book ahead!).

Fun for all

Kids are often a polarising topic in the pub industry, but the team at the Perry has managed to make everyone happy by creating spaces dedicated to families with kids, and another for ‘adults only.’ The cherry on top? There’s even a playground at the back of the pub – a kids' paradise!
