When a traditional pub fosters a sense of community in Islington

This pub opened in March 2020, and, as the date suggests, it had to start with takeaway meals, ready-made cocktails, and off sale wine for takeaway during COVID19 restrictions. Instantly crossing the threshold into this Islington gem, you’ll be in awe of the cosy atmosphere. Here, bricks meet wood to create the perfect combination where the warmth of the establishment flows through to its core, to make you feel right at home. Throughout the week, you’ll find a diverse crowd: locals enjoying a quiet drink, younger patrons soaking up live music on weekends, and families savouring delicious homemade Sunday roasts. Everyone is welcome at the Alpaca! Embedded in the community, the pub collaborates with local fishmongers, butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers, ensuring a close-knit relationship with its neighbours. What a nice way to support local businesses!

The bartenders' favourite spectre: Susana the blameworthy ghost!

Ask the team about their resident ghost, Susana. The staff have been blaming her for their poor closing sales for years!
