The only pub with an L-shaped pool table in London
Dating back to the mid-18th century, this Homerton establishment features an impressive frontage added in the 20th century. Inside, traditional details combine to create a welcoming, characterful interior. The owners have carefully preserved original features, offering visitors a feast for the eyes. Stained glass windows, dark waxed wood panels, and yellow plush leather seats catch the gaze, while the Edwardian style ceiling with embossed motifs adds a touch of elegance. Behind the large circular bar lies a back room with a rare L-shaped pool table - because why settle for ordinary when you can have quirky? If L-shaped pool messes too much with your mind, grab one of their delicious cask ales or premium craft beers and drift into the beer garden, where walls are stacked with framed treasures, stoneware jars, crocks, tiny barrels, and fairy lights sparkling with mischief. Passionate about music and experienced in the city’s top venues and festivals, the owners know how to set the scene. No wonder a brilliant weekly DJ programme keeps the vibe alive. Expect to meet patrons, from workers and students at the nearby Homerton University Hospital to football fans - both spectators drawn to the screens for big matches and players from nearby pitches.

Teddy Boys in the spotlight
The Adam & Eve was part of an underground Teddy Boy revival in London, documented in the 1970s by renowned Magnum photographer Chris Steele-Perkins. Taking a cue from his snapshots, Le Gun artist Neal Fox created bold artwork that now livens up the walls of the pub.
