44 Lambeth High St, London SE1 7JS

The perfect pub to play I spy

Take a stroll down Lambeth High Street, and be amazed at this historical pub. The Windmill boasts numerous wall decorations, an impressive rum selection, and stone- baked pizzas. Here you’ll find one of the few remaining pubs with an in-house dartboard and pool table.

Originally built in the 16th century, the Windmill has been a local favourite for over 500 years. Peruse the vintage photographs that show patrons of the past. Who knows, you might see a long lost relative! Visitors can enjoy the unique decorations displayed throughout the pub, such as a baby yoda hidden behind the bar. Looking for a drink and a bite to eat? Take a look at the extensive rum list, as well as the rest of the drinks on hand. For food, you can choose from stone baked homemade pizza, or a more traditional fish and chips.

Keep an eye out for a pac man ghost

If you’re uncertain whether you’re in the right place, be on the lookout for the giant ghost mosaic, complete with a David Bowie lightning bolt. Whilst admiring this impossible to miss piece of art, you might get to meet the resident squirrel who stops by for snacks!
